Account information: email address and display handle, collected when you create an account via Clerk authentication (Google, Apple, or email).
Gameplay data: puns submitted, scores, cards collected, run history, and the pivot words used against The Machine.
Usage data: session identifiers, IP address (used for rate limiting and fraud prevention), and approximate location derived from IP.
We do not collect payment information. Punderworld is free to play.
To operate the game: store your card collection, run history, and leaderboard entries.
To prevent abuse: rate limiting and session management.
To improve the game: aggregate, anonymized analysis of pun scoring patterns.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We do not use your data for advertising.
Clerk (clerk.com): handles authentication. Subject to Clerk's privacy policy.
Railway (railway.app): hosts our servers and database. Subject to Railway's privacy policy.
Anthropic (anthropic.com): evaluates pun submissions via API. Pun text is sent to Anthropic's API for scoring. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
Account data is retained until you delete your account.
Guest session data (no account) is not retained after your session ends.
You may request deletion of your data at any time.
